Beginner Scrapper’s

February 25, 2008 (posted by admin)

Kate is 16 and has just begun scrapbooking. She hasn’t had any lessons but became addicted when visiting Kim’s home and seeing what all Kim’s friends were doing. This has inspired her to begin (two after midnight sessions in a row!). These pages are some of her first efforts.

We think Kate has a natural creative talent.

Carole is an avid beader, but just loves creating herself. Carole is mother to Kate. Mum & daughter will be scrapping together, and now we can share in their experience and able to watch their talents expand.

I have tried out the new Core’dinations Cardstock which Scrappy Kapers is stocking.

As you can see from the page I have used a number of different techniques to get the desired result. These techniques include:

  • Flocking technique on chipboard
  • Distressing chipboard alphabets
  • Framing the photos with hand doodling
  • Tearing the cardstock
